From the East
April and May were very exciting months. On April 27th - 29th, Senior Deacon, Dustin Day and myself attended the Northern California Master and Warden's Retreat. It was a wonderful experience and we both learned a lot of useful stuff to bring back to the Lodge.
May not only brings us Mothers Day but it also brought us our newest Mason, Brother Rob Piatt, who received his Entered Apprentice Degree on May 12. It was a fine Degree with a wonderful attendance from all over the district!
June brings us to our Deep Pit BBQ on June 9th from 12-3pm. Tickets are going fast and are in limited supply, so if you need some call me at 675-9470. Hope to see you all at our June Stated Meeting on Saturday June 2nd, potluck at 6:30, Stated at 7pm.
News
In April Bro. Harland Roy, PM received his 50 year pin. Where does the time go? It was an evening enjoyed by all! Harland has been the Chaplain of Forbestown Lodge for many, many years. His lovely wife Joanne, who has supported him in his Masonic endeavors all these years, pinned him. Thank you Harland!

Welcome Rob Piatt Entered Apprentice!
The Traveling Gavel......
The Traveling Gavel has found it's way up to Forbestown brought to us courtesy of North Butte Lodge. It's not often we have the pleasure of it appearing here. Thankfully it has made it's way back down the mountain and is residing somewhere in Oroville.
Upcoming Events
It's BACK! The Lodge will be holding it's DEEP PIT BBQ this year!
There are plenty of events going on. Members who are also Shriners have had a wonderfully busy schedule of Parades lately and also Amapola OES has their monthly Veteran's Wreath work party trying to get those wreaths ready for placement at the cemetery next December. It's a monumental task!
The History Corner
Due to time constrictions I am unable to do a piece for the History corner at the moment. I would like to get this Trestleboard out to everyone and perhaps I may find something of Historical interest next week to add to the online Trestle..
