From the West
Well, winter has gone and it has been a good one, we've had many storms. That being said, it would be a good time to start checking in on our elderly and widowed members to see if they need help cleaning up downed trees or repairing any damage. We could put a work party together if need be. Worshipful Ricketts has been working hard on the BBQ, should be our best ever, we need to start spreading the word early to insure the best turnout possible. If you need a ride to Lodge, please call! This includes widows! You are as much missed as your spouse!

The month of March was marked by illness for some of the members of the Lodge. Brother Ralph Prater, while cutting up a tree out of the road near his home, took a fall and ended up with a broken hip and surgery. Ralph is hoping to escape from the hospital by this first Wednesday in April. He has been confined way too long! Our Chaplain also had some surgery and seems to be on the mend. Worshipful Darrel Hunter spent a little time at Enloe Hospital. We heard he is back out and about. We are glad he is doing well! Others fell victim to the flu/head cold that has been passed around, including this household. That bug has hung on here for several weeks, causing us to miss the semi-annual Fizz Breakfast, a DeMolay Breakfast, and the Chico Shrine Club Spaghetti Feed! We are hoping the bug goes away soon and we are also hoping the month of April is much kinder to us all in our health and well-being.
